My experience in the AELC course has been profoundly enriching, offering a unique blend of intellectual stimulation, divers cultural exchanges, and personal growth. As a preschool education major, I initially focused on early childhood development, but the AELC course expanded my horizons by introducing interdisciplinary insights that significantly broadened my understanding.

Dr. Liu Jing’s lectures on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) emphasized the crucial role of educators in fostering sustainable thinking among students. Professor Lenna’s discussions on mental health stigma in East Asia highlighted the importance of breaking down barriers to mental wellness. Additionally, Professors Kozima and Ito shared groundbreaking research in brain science, revealing its profound implications for educational practices. These subjects were not only novel but also deeply relevant, igniting my curiosity and enhancing my academic perspective.

  Equally valuable were the friendships I forged during the AELC course. Engaging with intelligent, passionate, and studious individuals from around the world added a rich dimension to my life. Despite the geographical distances that now separate us, the bonds we formed continue to grow stronger.
