No. 73:Ms. Wang Keer (Nanjing Normal University, completed AELC in November, 2025:

Hello everyone, I'm Keer Wang from Nanjing Normal University. It's a great pleasure to have the opportunity to join the AEL family and engage in the exchange and collision of ideas with classmates from different countries and regions. During my participation in this course, I believe I have gained a deeper understanding of quantitative research and qualitative research, which has provided more ideas for my own research. At the same time, the diverse course formats have allowed me to gain not only academic knowledge but also insights into the customs and cultures of different countries and regions. Additionally, I have been able to not only complete the personalized assignments assigned by teachers independently but also collaborate effectively with group members to finish group tasks. Next, I would like to share in detail what I have gained from this course.
First of all, the professors invited for the course have delivered various lectures, covering the processes and results of their own research, international hot topics in education, as well as quantitative and qualitative research methods along with specific operational steps. During the learning process, I joined in discussions with peers in group settings. This not only broadened our perspectives on the same issues but also allowed us to show our opinions and receive corresponding feedback from the professors. Moreover, the professors listened attentively to every student's presentation and provided insights into potential problems in our research along with constructive suggestions, which benefited me greatly.
Furthermore, what I gained from the course is not just rigid knowledge, but more importantly, a way of thinking — research is perhaps an ongoing process of revision, which means there is no absolute perfection. Instead, it requires constant dynamic adjustments. This has effectively resolved some of the dilemmas I encountered in my own research. For instance, when designing a research project, I must not only develop a structured framework but also leave room for necessary modifications. Furthermore, after data collection, adjustments to the research design and tools should be made accordingly.
Undoubtedly, this course has greatly broadened my international horizons. I have gained insights into the educational realities of other countries and regions that were previously unfamiliar to me, and I have also made friends with whom I engage in academic discussions and share life experiences in private. Additionally, I believe my English communication and presentation skills have improved significantly through this course. I am particularly grateful to my group members for giving me the opportunity to present on stage, which provided me with valuable practice.
In summary, this program has enabled me to make progress in various aspects. I would like to express my gratitude to AELC, a profound exchange platform for creating an excellent academic communication space that balances academic exchanges with humanistic care. Both the winter session held at Nanjing Normal University and the summer session at Korea University are valuable opportunities for us students to actively participate in and engage with others, and I feel truly fortunate to have taken part in this program.
