No. 87:Ms. Wang Ying (Nanjing Normal University, completed AELC in March, 2026)

It is a profound honor to participate in the Asia Education Leader Course (AELC). This international program has left an indelible mark on my graduate studies, adding a vibrant and unforgettable chapter to my academic journey.

Throughout this program, I had the invaluable opportunity to collaborate with peers from diverse esteemed universities across East Asia. Through our joint projects and daily interactions, I not only gained a deeper appreciation for the rich tapestry of cultures within our region but also experienced genuine support and warmth. In an environment where we helped each other navigate challenges, the bonds we formed transcended mere teamwork, creating a true community of mutual growth.

This experience has equipped me with three profound insights. First, I witnessed the power of applying theory to practice. During learning at Korea University, my group designed a teaching plan that was later adopted by a member who is a primary school principal for implementation in his own school. Seeing our academic concept move from a discussion room to a real classroom was incredibly fulfilling; it taught me that the true value of educational theory lies in its ability to create tangible, positive change. Second, I developed a leader’s perspective. The professors consistently introduced us to international educational cases, challenging us to reflect on our own countries’ contexts. This approach taught me to think beyond local frameworks and consider how global best practices can be adapted to address unique national challenges—a crucial mindset for any future leader. Third, I understood the true significance of international exchange. It is more than just sharing ideas; it is about building lasting networks of trust and understanding. By listening to the realities faced by future educators from other countries, I realized that the most complex educational issues often have common roots, and cross-border collaboration is key to crafting innovative solutions.

In conclusion, the program I have learned and the connections I have forged in the AELC will continue to inspire me as I move forward. Wherever I find myself in the field of education, these precious experiences will benefit me immensely.
