AELC Forum Summer 2025 Call for Abstracts Now Open!
Applications are now open for the Summer 2025 AEL Forum. The Forum theme is "Education in a fragmented world: Shaping the future of education in Asia-Pacific" and will be held online from 10:00-12:00 on Saturday, October 4, 2025.
With the disintegration of the post-Cold War liberal order and the conflict and fragmentation occurring within and between nations, the current global socio-political landscape marks a significant departure from the collaborative environment that drove the Sustainable Development Goals. At the same time, the global-scale issues that prompted the Sustainable Development Agenda have not been resolved. How is education responding to the shift? How should education steer the formation of our new society? This forum brings together bright young minds from diverse universities in Asia to present and discuss realities and solutions to pressing educational issues in Asia-Pacific. The forum is open to bachelor and graduate students from universities participating in the Asia Education Leader program and beyond. Participation in the AEL program is not a prerequisite for participation in this Forum.
Proposal or paper submissions are invited on the following themes:
A. Global and international education
B. Pedagogical approaches, teaching and early childhood development
C. Technology and education
D. Educational psychology, inclusive education and lifelong learning
E. Education policy and administration
・Proposal presentations describe proposed research or research in progress in the pre-data-collection phase. Proposal presentations will be 15 minutes with a 10-minute Q&A.
・Paper presentations describe completed research papers, including findings, discussion and conclusion. Paper presentations will be 20 minutes with a 10-minute Q&A.
