Following the Asia Education Leader Course (AELC) 2026-2027 Agreement Signing Ceremony on  February 1, 2026, representatives from seven AELC partner institutions participated in an AELC Coordinator meeting to reflect on the merits and challenges of AELC and discuss plans for the future of the program. Deans, Vice Deans and faculty representatives from Tohoku University, National Chengchi University, Nanjing Normal University, Korea University, and National Taiwan Normal University and Chulalongkorn University  attended the meeting, which opened with video messages from the Dean or Vice Dean of each institution, outlining the benefits and importance of AELC in the context of the institution’s goals, as well as visions for the future of AELC and how it may be improved. The video was followed by a short overview of the AELC goals and curriculum, as well as a summary of the fifth round of AEL Courses and statistical reports on the number of participants and graduates. The meeting concluded with an open discussion on future directions and initiatives.
