Asia Education Leader Forum Winter 2026: Reimagining the Educational Ecosystem for a Sustainable Future
The Winter 2026 Asia Education Leader Forum was successfully held on February 22, 2026 thanks to tireless efforts by student coordinators from five partner universities.
Entirely student-organized and student-run, the Winter Forum was led by Hao Jer Cheng of National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU) and student coordinators from National Chengchi University, Nanjing Normal University, National Taiwan Normal University, Korea University and Tohoku University.

Twenty-five student participants, eight moderators and two meeting coordinators from the five universities joined the Forum in a “World Café” format. Participants discussed up to three of the following four topics in three rounds of breakout room discussions: Educational Equity and Policy, Cross-cultural and International Education, Educational Technology and AI for Future Education and Educational Psychology and Learning Science.

The World Café format aims to shed light on “what can we understand together that we cannot understand alone,” according to Hao Jer Cheng, and keeps “learning from one another, keeping an open mind” as a core value.
In the closing session, participants reflected that learning from other’s experiences with empathy is the key to solving educational problems today and in the future.
The AELC Secretariat would like to thank all of the student coordinators for their incredible efforts and organization to provide this learning opportunity for all participants.
