Asia Education Leader Forum Summer 2026: Transforming Education in Asia-Pacific for a Changing World
Asia Education Leader (AEL) Forum Summer 2026 was successfully held online on September 19, 2026, with the support and cooperation of AELC partner universities and colleagues in the field.
We were pleased to invite distinguished professors from our partner universities to serve as commentators, including Prof. Chen Chen from Nanjing Normal University (NNU) and Prof. Guo-Li Chiou from National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU). They provided valuable feedback and facilitated meaningful discussions throughout the presentation sessions.
Twenty students from National Chengchi University, Nanjing Normal University, and Tohoku University participated in the forum and delivered individual or group presentations. The participants presented their research proposals or papers across five themes: Education Policy and Administration, Global and International Education, Pedagogical Approaches, Technology and Education, and Educational Psychology.
During the breakout-room sessions, participants reflected on their experiences during the summer activities, connected their overseas practice with theoretical discussions, and further developed their research designs. By providing a platform for academic exchange, the forum aimed to encourage students from different national and cultural contexts to exchange perspectives and explore how countries and educational communities in the Asia-Pacific region can learn from one another.

We look forward to seeing everyone at the AELC Winter Course 2027, which will be hosted by Tohoku University in Sendai.
