Asia Education Leader Course Report 2019-2021 is published!

By the end of the third round of AEL course, through the review in this report, we are pleased to see the continuous growth the number of registered students of AEL course between 2019 and 2021. In the third round, 173 students took part in the AEL course. Moreover, 19 students met the requirements and successfully received the AEL Joint Certificate of Completion. Although the COVID-10 pandemic brought us many difficulties in implementing AEL course in site, we could successfully shift to online teaching and learning in AEL course since 2021. And this new approach provided new alternatives for us to give this course to a broader group of students and establish new activities and events to promote exchange and communication. We believe the public health crisis made us stronger and more resilient in building AEL course and constructing dynamic and sustainable partnerships and networks for higher education in East Asia.

While writing this report, our fourth round of AEL course has been jointly hosted by National Taiwan Normal University and National Chengchi University. With more flexible and innovative approach, we believe that AEL course will become a more comprehensive, inclusive and sustainable network for enhancing education and collaboration among universities in East Asia in the future.

Our gratitude goes to AEL partner universities for their continuous support and collaboration for AEL course and other activities. The information included in this report, such as program reviews, materials of summer/winter courses, and student feedback reports, are kindly provided by our partner universities.

Special thanks go to Dr. Wanxin Yan, Assistant Professor at the Center for Innovation in Educational Research and Practice, who kindly offered help with editing this report.
