2026年4月13日、ウズベキスタン国立大学より、Shoohrat Amonovich教務副学長、 Khabibulla Makhamatjanovich外国語学部長、Davron Rakhmatalievich上級講師が、 同大学の学生他6名とともに東北大学大学院教育学研究科を訪問しました。
同日、文科系総合研究棟3階の研究科長室にて、Shoohrat Amonovichウズベキスタン 国立大学教務副学長と、山口昌弘東北大学理事・副学長（国際戦略・国際連携教育担当）が会談しました。
会談では、まず、山口昌弘理事・副学長から、東北大学は2024年12月に日本初の 「国際卓越研究大学」に認定され、世界各国の研究・教育機関との交流をより一層積極的に 進めていることに関する説明が行われました。さらに、教育学研究科が発案した、 ウズベキスタンを始めとする中央アジア各国の高等教育機関との連携ビジョンについて、 東北大学の本部としても注目しており、連携の実現を期待していると伝えました。
これに対して、Shoohrat Amonovich教務副学長は、ウズベキスタン国立大学は ウズベキスタン最古かつ最大の大学であり、中央アジアの高等教育機関において 中心的な役割を担っていることを説明しました。そのうえで、将来的な両大学間の 学術交流協定締結に向けて、研究・教育の各分野における交流を推進していくことへの 期待を表明しました。
また、会談に先立ち、Shoohrat Amonovich教務副学長ら3名と、 本研究科の小嶋秀樹研究科長、甲斐健人副研究科長、志宝ありむとふて特任講師の計6名により、 両大学間の学術交流推進に関する覚書の締結に向けた合同会議が開催されました。
会議では、実践的な教育学研究の領域で、研究・教育の両面における交流を 推進していくことを確認し、さらに、留学生の相互派遣・受け入れ開始に向けた 今後の体制整備に関する協議が行われました。
Vice-Rector Shoohrat Amonovich and Delegation from National University of Uzbekistan Visit Tohoku University
On April 13, 2026, a delegation from the National University of Uzbekistan visited the Graduate School of Education at Tohoku University. The delegation included Shoohrat Amonovich, Vice-Rector for academic affairs of the National University of Uzbekistan, as well as Dean Khabibulla Makhamatjanovich and Senior Lecturer Davron Rakhmatalievich from the Faculty of Foreign Philology, accompanied by six students.
On the same day, Vice-Rector Shoohrat Amonovich met with Masahiro Yamaguchi, Executive Director and Vice President (International Strategy and International Collaborative Education), at the Dean’s Office.
During the meeting, Vice President Yamaguchi explained that Tohoku University was designated as Japan’s first “University for International Research Excellence” in December 2024. He also stated that the university is interested in the vision for collaboration with Central Asian countries, starting with Uzbekistan, and hopes to realize this partnership.
In response, Vice-Rector Shoohrat Amonovich explained that the National University of Uzbekistan is the oldest and largest university in the country and plays a central role in Central Asia. He expressed his hope to promote exchange in research and education toward a future academic exchange agreement.
Prior to this meeting, a joint session was held to discuss a memorandum for promoting academic exchange between the two universities. The meeting was attended by the three members of the delegation and three representatives from the Graduate School of Education: Dean Hideki Kozima, Vice Dean Takehito Kai, and Specially Appointed Lecturer Alimtufti Shiho.
The participants confirmed they would promote exchange in research and education within the field of educational studies. They also discussed preparing for future student exchange programs.
