2026年4月13日、東北大学川内南キャンパス文科系総合研究棟11階大会議室にて、東北大学大学院教育学研究科主催のイベント、「東北大学×ウズベキスタン国立大学国際学術交流会」が開催されました。本交流会は、「ウズベキスタン国立大学との連携とその将来展望―中央アジアと日本の学術交流拡大を目指して―」と題し、ウズベキスタン国立大学外国語学部・教育学部、東北大学学際科学フロンティア研究所・災害科学国際研究所との共催で、東北大学リサーチ・マネジメントセンターの協賛を受けて開催されたものです。

　当日は、山口昌弘東北大学理事・副学長（国際戦略・国際連携教育担当）による開会挨拶と、Shoohrat Amonovichウズベキスタン国立大学教務副学長による来賓挨拶に続き、本研究科の小嶋秀樹研究科長による基調講演が行われました。
　そのうえで、ウズベキスタンを始めとする中央アジアと日本の学術連携に向けた構想をめぐり、両大学の研究者がそれぞれの研究領域の観点から発表を行いました。
　さらに、両大学に所属する大学院生、学部生による研究発表のセッションも設けられ、ここに、両大学間の様々なレベルにおける交流の端緒が開かれました。

Holding of Tohoku University – National University of Uzbekistan International Academic Exchange Conference

On April 13, 2026, the "Tohoku University – National University of Uzbekistan International Academic Exchange Conference" was held in the Conference Room (11F). Organized by the Graduate School of Education, the event was titled "Partnership with the National University of Uzbekistan and Its Future Prospects: Expanding Academic Networks between Japan and Central Asia". It was co-organized by Pedagogical education department and Foreign Philology Faculty of the National University of Uzbekistan, and the Frontier Research Institute for Interdisciplinary Sciences (FRIS) and the International Research Institute of Disaster Science (IRIDeS) of Tohoku University, with support from the Tohoku University Research Management Center (RMC).

The event began with opening remarks by Yamaguchi Masahiro, (Executive Director and Vice President (International Strategy and International Collaborative Education)) of Tohoku University, and a guest greeting by Shoohrat Amonovich, Vice-Rector for academic affairs of the National University of Uzbekistan. Kozima Hideki, Dean of the Graduate School of Education, then delivered a keynote speech.
Following these remarks, researchers from both universities gave presentations on the vision for academic collaboration between Japan and Central Asian countries, starting with Uzbekistan, from the perspectives of their respective research fields.
Furthermore, research presentation sessions by graduate and undergraduate students from both universities were held, marking the start of exchange at various levels between the two institutions.
