Concept Note
Background
With the accelerated global environment change, humanity faces more instability, uncertainty, and enormous challenges. What will the world look like in the next 50 years? What role can education play in shaping the future? UNESCO's new global initiative on the Futures of Education looks at 2050 and seeks to understand how education can shape the future of humanity and the planet. The initiative is to provoke a global discussion on how education, knowledge, and learning must be reimagined in an increasingly uncertain world. This dialogue provides knowledge and discussion on the topic of "the futures of education and the role of UNESCO." Also, it invites UNESCO specialist to share with young generation the details of career development in international organizations, such as UNESCO.
Objectives
- Enhance interaction and discussion between postgraduate, undergraduate, and high school students, and UNESCO specialist on " the futures of education and the role of UNESCO"
- Exchange insights into career development in international organizations, such as UNESCO.
Expected outputs
- UNESCO specialist from UNESCO Bangkok Office shares his knowledge and his institution’s experiences in fulfilling the action of the futures of education.
- Students obtain new insights into the futures of education, the role of UNESCO in building the future of education, and approaches to starting careers at international organizations.
