東北大学とチュラロンコン大学が連携してタイで共同フィールドワークを実施しました　Collaboration between Tohoku University and Chulalongkorn University for Joint Fieldwork in Thailand

The Faculty of Education successfully held a joint fieldwork on education and development in Thailand with the collaboration between Tohoku University Graduate School of Education and Chulalongkorn University Faculty of Education between February 24 and March 3, 2025, in Bangkok. The fieldwork aimed to strengthen participants' understanding of education development and its relationship with sustainable development in Thailand. Moreover, it was expected to enhance communication and mutual understanding between students and faculty members at Tohoku University and Chulalongkorn University.

教育学部は、東北大学大学院教育学研究科とチュラロンコン大学教育学部の協力のもと、2025年2月24日から3月3日にかけて、バンコクにおいて「タイの教育と開発に関する共同フィールドワーク」を実施し、成功裏に終了しました。このフィールドワークは、タイにおける教育開発と持続可能な開発との関係について、参加者の理解を深めることを目的としています。また、東北大学とチュラロンコン大学の学生や教員間のコミュニケーションや相互理解を深めることも期待されました。

 During the fieldwork, participants visited Chulalongkorn University's Faculty of Education and learned about the university's history. Moreover, we had the precious opportunity to visit the Affiliated Primary School of Chulalongkorn University and learn about innovative education curricula and practices for fostering future leaders in Thailand. We also attended lectures with Thai students and had a joint study on sustainability. Besides these, participants also got the opportunity to visit local public secondary schools, schools for special education, vocational schools for cultivating Thai massagers, and local community learning centers.
 
フィールドワークでは、チュラロンコン大学教育学部を訪問し、同大学の歴史について学びました。さらに、チュラロンコン大学附属小学校を訪問し、タイの将来のリーダーを育成するための革新的な教育カリキュラムや実践について学ぶ貴重な機会を得ました。また、タイの学生と一緒に講義を受け、持続可能性に関する共同ディスカッションを行いました。このほか、参加者は地元の公立中学校、特別支援学校、タイマッサージ師育成のための職業訓練校、地元のコミュニティ学習センターなどを訪問する機会も得ました。
 
 
The team also visited the UNESCO Bangkok Regional Office to learn about UNESCO's initiatives to promote SDGs. In addition, we visited the JICA Thailand Office to learn about Japan's initiatives to promote international cooperation in Thailand.

また、ユネスコ・バンコク地域事務所を訪問し、SDGs推進に向けたユネスコの取り組みについて学びました。さらに、JICAタイ事務所を訪問し、タイにおける日本の国際協力の取り組みについて勉強しました。

 
 A group of students from Tsinghua University also joined this fieldwork. This joint fieldwork enabled us to deepen our understanding of the relationship between education and development. Moreover, it provided us with an innovative platform for future collaboration in education and research for peace, resilience, and sustainability between Tohoku University, Chulalongkorn University, and Tsinghua University.

このフィールドワークには清華大学の学生グループも参加しました。この共同フィールドワークによって、私たちは教育と開発の関係についての理解を深めることができました。さらに、東北大学、チュラロンコン大学、清華大学の3大学間において、平和、レジリエンス、持続可能性のための教育・研究における今後の協力のための革新的なプラットフォームを得る試みができました。
