2025年9月20日、東北大学大学院教育学研究科は、公益財団法人ユネスコ・アジア文化センター（ACCU）主催の2025年度文部科学省委託 令和７年度新時代の教育のための国際協働プログラムの一環として、中国各地から集まった初等中等教職員25名と交流した。本プログラムは日本と韓国・中国・インド・タイの教育専門家交流を促進するものである。
2025年度の初等中等教職員国際交流事業中国教職員招へいプログラムは、宮城県で行われ、1週間の研修の一環として、教育学研究科にて講義と留学生との交流に参加した。ナカサトローレン助教より、移民・外国籍児童の教育支援の現状・課題・方策、ならびに東北大学の留学生状況に関する講義が行われ、活発な質疑応答が続いた。中国出身の留学生ボランティア4名がキャンパスツアーと小グループ討論を主導し、来訪教育者らと学生の研究活動や日本での留学生体験など多様なテーマについて議論を深めた。参加者はACCU提供の夕食をいただきながら、議論を深めました。

On September 20, 2025, the Tohoku University Graduate School of Education hosted 25 K-12 faculty and administrators from across China as part of the Asia-Pacific Cultural Center for UNESCO's (ACCU) 2025 International Educational Exchange Program (IEEP). The program, commissioned by the Japanese Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT), fosters exchange of educational professionals between Japan and Korea, China, India and Thailand.
As part of a week-long exchange and study tour to Miyagi Prefecture, the delegation participated in a lecture and exchange with international students at the Tohoku University Graduate School of Education. A brief lecture on the status, issues and strategies for supporting the education of immigrant and foreign-born children, as well as the status of international students at Tohoku University was given by Assistant Professor Lauren Nakasato, followed by a rigorous Q&A session. Four international student volunteers from China led a campus tour and small group discussions with the visiting educators, fostering discussion on a diversity of topics related to student research and experience as an international student in Japan. Participants extended the discussion over an early dinner provided by ACCU.
