県内の高校生の皆様との高大連携を行いました。

9月26日(金)、宮城第一高等学校の国際探究科の皆様が東北大学を訪れていただきました。午前中は、教育学研究科グローバル共生教育論コースのナカサトローレン助教授が多文化理解と海外に目を向けて一歩踏み出すことの重要性について講義を行いました。続けて、教育学研究科の3名の中国人学生がご自分の研究の概要について発表を行いました。午前中の締めくくりとして、宮城第一高等学校の生徒たちと教育学研究科の学生たちが混合で自由に国際交流を行いました。高校生たちからは英語を習得するための方法や現在取り組んでいる探究活動についてなど、質の高い様々な質問が投げかけられました。午後には東北大学中央図書館を訪問しました。訪問中、図書館職員が生徒たちに図書館の歴史と利用方法に関する講義を行いました。その後、高校生たちは図書館の施設と機能に慣れるための見学ツアーに参加しました。

今回の異文化交流を通して、宮城第一高等学校の皆様のグローバルな視野がさらに広がることを期待しています。  本プログラムの開催にあたり、東北大学中央図書館のスタッフの皆様、教育学研究科の3名の学生たちに特別な感謝を申し上げます！ 

 

 

On Friday, September 26th, students from the International Inquiry Course at Miyagi Daiichi High School visited Tohoku University. In the morning, Assistant Professor Lauren Nakasato from the Global Course in the Graduate School of Education gave a lecture on multicultural understanding and the importance of taking the first step toward looking abroad. Following this, three international students from the Graduate School of Education presented overviews of their research. To conclude the morning, students from Miyagi Daiichi High School and the Graduate School of Education engaged in free international exchange in mixed groups. The high school students posed a variety of high-quality questions, such as methods for acquiring English and their current research activities.

 

In the afternoon, the group visited Tohoku University Central Library. During the visit, library staff gave a lecture to the students on the library's history and how to use its resources. Afterwards, the high school students participated in a tour to familiarize themselves with the library's facilities and functions.

We hope this intercultural exchange will further broaden the global perspective of everyone from Miyagi Daiichi High School. We extend our special thanks to the staff of Tohoku University Central Library and the three students from the Graduate School of Education for making this program possible!
