概要
2025年9月20日から29日まで、教育学部の学部生14名と文学研究科の大学院生1名が中国海外フィールドワーク科目に参加した。本プログラムは南京と北京の二都市で実施され、学術交流、教育機関訪問、フィールド調査、文化学習活動を含む多様な内容で構成された。
南京でのプログラム
プログラム前半は南京師範大学を訪問し、現地の学生との学術的・文化的交流を行った。また、地域の学校を訪問し、現地教員へのインタビュー調査を通じて中国における教育課題について理解を深めた。
さらに、科挙博物館を訪れることで、中国の歴史的な科挙制度とその教育および社会に与えた長期的な影響について学ぶ機会を得た。
北京でのプログラム
9月24日、一行は高速鉄道で南京から北京へ移動し、以下の活動を行った。
- 北京日本人学校（9月24日）： 海外における日本人学校の運営について学び、その特色あるカリキュラムや教育活動について理解を深めた。
- ユネスコ北京事務所（9月25日）： 学生は日中の教育制度に関する比較分析を専門家に発表し、意見交換を行った。
- 清華大学（9月25日）： 現地の大学生とのインタビューを実施し、中国の高等教育や学生生活についての見識を得た。
- 北京師範大学教育学部（9月26日）： 現地の学生との学術交流を行い、相互理解と学びの深化を図った。
加えて、参加者はICT・AIを活用した教育資源の開発で先駆的役割を果たすOnion Academyを訪問し、デジタル教育の革新的な実践について知見を得た。
フィールドワークのテーマ
研究活動として、参加学生は以下の三つのテーマに分かれて調査を行った。
- 教育格差
- 保護者のジェンダー認識と学業達成
- 英語教育におけるICT活用
これらのテーマに基づき、学校・大学・教育関係者とのインタビューや観察を通じた調査が実施された。
文化・歴史学習
学術的活動を補完するものとして、参加者は**故宮（紫禁城）**を訪問し、中国の豊かな歴史と文化遺産を直接体験した。
結論と今後の予定
今回の中国海外フィールドワーク科目は、学術的探究、教育機関との交流、文化体験を効果的に統合したプログラムであった。参加者はフィールド調査を通じて中国の教育課題を深く理解するとともに、日本との比較の観点からも多様な知見を獲得した。
なお、参加学生による研究成果発表会は2025年10月29日に開催され、各グループが調査結果と学習の成果を報告する予定である。
Report on Overseas Fieldwork in China
Faculty of Education and Graduate School of Arts and Letters, September 20–29, 2025
Overview
From September 20 to 29, 2025, a total of 15 students from the Faculty of Education, the Graduate School of Education, and the Graduate School of Arts and Letters participated in the Overseas Fieldwork Course in China. The program was conducted in two major locations, Nanjing and Beijing, and included academic exchanges, institutional visits, field research, and cultural study activities.
Program in Nanjing
In the first half of the program, participants visited Nanjing Normal University and engaged in academic and cultural exchange activities with local students. They also visited local schools and carried out structured interviews with teachers to examine current educational issues in China. A visit to the Imperial Examination Museum further deepened their understanding of the historical Keju examination system and its long-lasting influence on Chinese education and society.
Program in Beijing
The team traveled from Nanjing to Beijing by high-speed rail on September 24. The following activities were carried out in Beijing:
- Beijing Japanese School (September 24): Participants learned about the operation of a Japanese school overseas, focusing on its unique curriculum and educational activities.
- UNESCO Beijing Regional Office (September 25): Students presented their comparative analyses of Japan’s and China’s education systems to experts at UNESCO and engaged in constructive dialogue.
- Tsinghua University (September 25): Participants conducted interviews with local students to explore perspectives on higher education and student life.
- Beijing Normal University, Faculty of Education (September 26): Academic exchanges were held with students from the Faculty of Education, facilitating mutual learning and dialogue.
In addition, students visited Onion Academy, a prominent digital education service provider specializing in ICT- and AI-based educational resources. This visit provided valuable insights into the role of digital innovation in transforming learning environments.
Fieldwork Themes
For research purposes, participants were organized into three groups, each focusing on a distinct theme:
- Educational Inequality
- Parental Gender Perceptions and Student Achievement
- ICT in English Education
These themes guided their interviews, observations, and discussions with institutions and stakeholders throughout the program.
Cultural and Heritage Component
To complement the academic program, students also visited the Forbidden City in Beijing, providing them with a direct experience of China’s historical and cultural heritage.
Conclusion and Next Steps
The Overseas Fieldwork Course in China successfully combined academic inquiry, institutional exchange, and cultural exploration. Through field-based research, participants developed a deeper understanding of educational issues in China, while also gaining comparative perspectives relevant to Japan.
The final presentation session of the participants’ research findings is scheduled for October 29, 2025, where each group will present their outcomes and reflections.
