About the speaker:

Prof. Chen-Wei Chang’s research centers on global citizenship, youth agency, and collective action in times of rapid social transformation. Since earning her Ph.D. in Social Science and Comparative Education from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), she has explored how young people critically understand structural inequalities, develop agency through education, and engage in cross-cultural dialogue and social action. Her work emphasizes empowering youth to participate actively in addressing global and local challenges through solidarity and collaborative problem-solving. Dr. Chang is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Education at National Taiwan Normal University.
